U14 Boys
Loughrea’s U14 boys extended their unbeaten run with an emphatic 38-7 victory over Ballinasloe in front of a home crowd on a rainy Sunday morning. Conor Brady stole the show once again, racking up 3 tries and nailing 4 conversions to spearhead the win. Cillian Monaghan, Matt Jankowski, and Jamie Cormican also crossed the line, contributing to the dominant performance.
Diarmuid Ward, Jack Cunningham, and Sam Connor delivered standout efforts in challenging conditions, helping to maintain Loughrea’s momentum. Despite the downpour, the team put in a disciplined display, keeping their season’s perfect record intact.
U18.5 Boys
Loughrea U18.5 boys kicked off their league campaign in style, securing a commanding 38-5 victory over Ballinasloe in their opening match. The team showed impressive form, setting the tone for a promising season ahead.
Loughrea will now turn their focus to the next fixture, as they prepare to host Ballinasloe again at Ballygasty (13:00 on October 6th), aiming to continue their winning momentum.
U12 Girls and U12 Boys
Loughrea made their presence felt on Saturday night at the Sportsground in Galway, as the U12 girls and boys teams formed a vibrant guard of honour for the Connacht versus Hollywoodbets Natal Sharks URC clash. During halftime, the young stars took to the pitch, showcasing their skills and keeping the crowd entertained in a fantastic display of talent. It was an unforgettable evening for the kids, and to cap it off, Connacht sealed a superb victory. A huge well done to both the Loughrea squads and Connacht on a memorable night!
