Setting the tempo early with an opening score, the Loughrea girls looked to take control, though Carrick-on-Shannon battled back, capitalizing on any defensive lapses from the visitors.

Hannah Moran and Katie Griffin led the charge with excellent link play and offloading, each crossing the line twice. Lucy Smith, Róisín Deely, and Aibhín Tully-Hough also contributed tries, keeping Loughrea in the lead.
