International Ticket Allocation Policy
- The IRFU requires that all clubs adhere to a strict set of guidelines regarding the distribution and control of International tickets. The below guidelines ensure that we are compliant with IRFU policy and equitable in the distribution of our ticket allocation.
- In the event of oversubscription, tickets will be allocated as follows:
- Committee members and Adult players
- Coaches
- Referees
- Ordinary adult club members
- Tickets may be limited to 2 per member, depending on demand
- Tickets must not be resold under any circumstances. Reselling on ticket resale websites is strictly prohibited. Members found in breach of this shall be excluded from future ticket distributions and shall face disciplinary action.
- In the event a member cannot attend an event, the International Ticket Secretary should be contacted immediately. The International Ticket Secretary shall offer first refusal of tickets to those unsuccessful in their original application. Financial liability remains with the original ticket holder should the tickets not be redistributed.
- The Club reserves the right to distribute tickets to club sponsors and benefactors as a first priority at the discretion and instruction of the Club Committee.
- The International Tickets Secretary is provided the discretion to distribute unsold tickets, within the IRFU guidelines, to ensure the club does not suffer a financial loss on unsold tickets.
- The Club reserves the right to administer a club development levy to the ticket price, as agreed by the Club Committee.
- All tickets must be paid in full by agreed deadlines. Tickets will not be distributed unless paid for in advance.
International Ticket Allocation Process
Unless otherwise stated, the International Tickets Secretary is the Honorary Secretary.
- The International Tickets Secretary will apply to Connacht Rugby for an allocation of tickets for each Ireland international Men’s rugby home fixture.
- The Ticket Request will be opened on the Loughrea RFC website.
- The membership will be emailed advising of the opening of the applications and the date and time that applications will close.
- Members are able then to apply for the fixture and the number of tickets using the form on the Loughrea RFC website.
- When the close date for applications is reached, the Ticket Request form will be closed on the Loughrea RFC website.
At this point, the allocation of tickets will take place according to the policy.
- When the ticket allocation is received, each applicant will be contacted by the International Tickets Secretary to confirm if they have or have not received an allocation based on the criteria outlined in the policy.
- Tickets that are allocated to a member will need to be paid for in full within two weeks of the allocation being confirmed. Tickets will not be provided to the member without payment.
- Tickets will be transferred to each successful applicant.
